In My Mailbox: The week in which I discover Read it Swap it

In My Mailbox is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren So this week I discovered a new way in which to further my book buying obsession without actually spending a penny (ok maybe £2 on shipping) and NOT adding more books to my bookshelves. That’s right friends I have discovered Read it Swap it. When I stumbled upon it I thought I was properly awesome and spread the word on twitter about this amazing site, yeah turns out half the blogosphere already new about it. Lame. So anyway RiSi is a fabby site for UK peeps looking to swap one book for another and if you haven’t checked it out you should here. But this isn’t a post promoting a website this is IMM so let’s get onto the books I received this week!
Bought/ Swapped
Wither by Lauren DeStefano (bought) Darkness Becomes Her by Kelly Keaton (ARC swapped) Personal Demons by Lisa DesRochers (swapped) Lost It by Kristen Tracy (swapped) Rumour Has it by Jill Mansell (swapped) Plan B by Emily Barr (swapped) How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild and Got a Life by Kaavya Viswanathan (gift from the lovely Michelle thank you!)
For Review
New Beginnings by Fern Britton (ARC via Amazon Vine) Shadows on the Moon by Zoe Marriott (ARC via Walker) So that was all the awesome I got this week big thank you’s to everybody who sent me books! If you’ve read any of the books I got this week and want to leave me a comment letting me know what you thought please do and make sure you leave me a link to what you got in your mailbox. Here’s to another week of fantastic reading ahead :-)

  5. Oh yes, I got your email about RiSi and went to check it out. It's a great idea but I'm a real hoarder and can't bear to part with my books once I've read them. Maybe I'll change my mind about that in the future if I'm a cash strapped student LOL. Shadows On The Moon looks really good, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Enjoy :)

  8. I only joined RiSi last week too, but found that actually I can't bear to part with any of my books! Either the covers are too pretty, or I'm telling myself "I might want to re-read it one day". I'm a terrible hoarder. Out of all my bookshelves, I've only listed four books- that won't get me very far!
I'm desperate to read Wither so really jealous! Can't wait for your review!

  11. You've got some really awesome books this week. I don't want to put you off RiSi, but do be careful. I was a member about a year ago and loved it at first too, then I realised I was ending up with all the older books (released 2/3+ years ago) and all my new releases were being grabbed up. I was trying my best to choose books of peoples list who had requested one of my books even if there wasn't much I wanted - I didn't like to say no. Within 6 months nobody wanted to swap with me anymore, not because I didn't take care of my books or get things out on time etc, but because what I had only older books for swap. I ended up giving them all to charity shops and leaving RiSi. So just a friendly nudge, if you're putting up nearly new releases for swap, don't let them go for anything less than what you REALLY want off your wishlist.

  12. RISI is great but if I know the person I tend to swap for something I may not deseperately want as I feel guilty if I dont swap.
Great book week though. Happy reading :D
