Waiting on Wednesday: Fateful

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that bloggers are eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:

Fateful by Claudia Gray
Publication Date: 29th March 2012
From Amazon UK
A tragic tale about falling in love on the world’s most infamous ill-fated sea voyage as heroine, Tess, discovers darker secrets that lie beneath the doomed crossing… and a hidden brotherhood that threaten to tear her lover from her forever.
The RMS Titanic is the most luxurious ship ever built, but for eighteen-year-old Tess Davies it’s a prison. Travelling as a maid for the family she has served for years, Tess is trapped in their employ amid painful memories and family secrets.
When she meets Alec, a handsome upper class passenger, Tess falls helplessly in love. But Alec has secrets of his own… and soon Tess is entangled in a dangerous game. A sinister brotherhood that will do anything to induct Alec into their mystical order has followed him onboard. And Tess is now their most powerful pawn.
Tess and Alec fight the dark forces threatening to tear them apart, never realising that they will have to face an even greater peril before the journey is over…

This Wednesday I’m waiting on this gorgeous sounding historical fiction/ paranormal romance. Lucky for my friends across the pond this book is hitting the shelves in the US later this month but for us Brits we’ve still got a bit of a wait with it not coming out until March next year. I think it will be well worth the wait though because I LOVE our stunning UK cover so much more than the US one. An epic paranormal love story set on the doomed ship that was the Titanic? Erm yes please!

What's your "waiting on" pick this week?

  1. Hmm I think I prefer the US cover, her dress on this looks bizarre. but yeah, great choice, I love how doomed this book sounds XD

    The Cait Files

  2. I really want to read this one too!!

    Great pick :D

  3. ooh, this sounds good! I think I prefer this cover as well.

  4. Oh, wow, the UK cover is...interesting. Haha. I've heard great things about Fateful, though, so I'm definitely looking forward to reading it. Great pick! :)
    My WoW

  5. I have seen this book floating through the blogosphere and never made an effort to actually read what it's about. But I stopped by your blog today and read the summary and I am in love already because I LOVE anything about the Titanic. Super excited for this one now.
    My WOW

  6. I can't wait for this book (plus I love the cover!) I can't believe we have to wait until the end of march for this! No fair!

  7. I love the UK cover a lot more than the US one too! It's so much prettier and seems to capture the feel of the novel more too. Really, the US cover doesn't serve the book justice at all. I LOVED reading Fateful, so I hope you feel the same way too! :)

  8. What a fabulous post and i love this cover. It is really nice to hear your discussion on specific topic here. I too agree with your points here. keep posting good blogs. Thanks.

  9. Very informative article you have got here. I love reading this kind of stuff. This is truly a great read for me. I hope to see more articles from you.

  10. I think the dress is supposed to be one of those big ball gowns and because of the sea breeze its been blown out. The dress could be prettier but I like the color and think the background is stunning!
