February Round-Up and Book of the Month!

I can't believe that it's March already! I have a theory that as you get older time flies by quicker! I am looking forward to saying goodbye to the snow and colder weather though, as we move into Spring. My goal for February was to read 8 books, I managed 10 in January and with February being a short month I thought that 8 seemed fair, but I once again read 10 books! I have no idea how but I'm not complaining. I'd love to keep this up so I could reach 100 books read this year - a goal I've always aspired to but never reached but I'm not going to put any pressure on myself because that's when I tend to go into reading slumps. ANYWAY lets take a look at what I've been reading this past month...

February's Book of the Month is Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion

For those of you who saw my gushing on Goodreads and Twitter this is a no brainer really (hardy har! I'm ALL for the cheesy puns!) I picked this one up because I liked the look of the movie trailer and my friend Ellie was reading and loving it. I didn't expect it to become one of my all time favourite books! I went into it expecting your average zombie novel full of gore, I wasn't expecting this book to move me to tears or to be so freakin' funny, so beautifully written and so thought provoking on what makes us human. If zombie's aren't your usual thing I'd still urge you to give this a try because it's so much more than a zombie novel. LOVED IT!

  2. You had a really good February; you read so many books!
I've been wondering whether I should read Warm Bodies or not, so I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed it so much.
I think that you choosing Perfect Scoundrels as the book with the best plot is spot on; it was a book that I loved.
    Best wishes for March! :)

  4. Wow, it looks like you had a good February! Mine was pretty awful, books-wise, with far too many 3-star reads. March looks set to be better though. Clockwork Princess! It feels like I have been waiting my whole life for that to release now. I'm both excited and terrified. :)

  5. I am looking forward to saying goodbye to the snow and colder weather though, as we move into Spring.

Hear hear! I loathe Winter. I'm sick of being cold and achy and I really, really resent coats. All I want is to go outside without a coat. All I want. It seems like this Winter has lasted aaaages even though it's starting to get warmer already. I WANT TO GET WARM.

Oh another Warm Bodies fan! I've been intrigued since reading Ellie's ravings about it, but I might finally have to indulge if you love it as well. Especially since I just rewatched the Warm Bodies trailer and it does look pretty awesome.

    1. It really does, all that snow we had for ages didn't help. I actually very nearly took my coat off yesterday - I know!

Join us Hanna! You know you want to! And everybody knows that you have to read the book before watching the movie ;)

Oh I'm so glad that you had such an epic reading month in February, I started reading Warm Bodies but had to return it part way through as it had been requested by someone else, but I definitely will have to get a copy for myself!
